DESINTERESSE is a Dutch coldwave act existing of Bart (bass), Joppe (drums) and Sem(vocals/synth/guitar). The band formed at the end of 2022 after previously making music under another name. The first two releases were released as a duo: their debut-album‘Voor Altijd’ (April 2023) and the EP ‘Ik Wil Dood Als Ik Het Vergeet’ (November 2023) both on cassettes.
As of 2024 the band has been functioning as a trio. Their latest release is the 7” single ‘Grijze Dromen’ (August 2024). All releases up until now have been released on their own label ‘DECADENCE’.
They do this by using original vintage equipment, seeing thisas a form of art, identity and expression. Cold, abandoned and non-existential feelings mark the melancholic and gloomy atmosphere on stage. Still sounds and voices are not primary – though the message is.
